At\u00a0Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, the safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority. Today, our Kinder friends joined a full\u00a0earthquake drill\u00a0to help them learn how to stay safe during emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u30d3\u30e8\u30f3\u30c7\u30a3\u30a2\u30a4\u30f3\u30bf\u30fc\u30ca\u30b7\u30e7\u30ca\u30eb\u30b9\u30af\u30fc\u30eb\u67cf\u306e\u8449\u3067\u306f\u3001\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5b89\u5168\u3068\u5065\u5eb7\u3092\u5e38\u306b\u6700\u512a\u5148\u306b\u8003\u3048\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u672c\u65e5\u3001Kinder\u306e\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3001\u3082\u3057\u3082\u306e\u5730\u9707\u306b\u5099\u3048\u3066\u907f\u96e3\u8a13\u7df4\u306b\u53c2\u52a0\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u5b89\u5168\u306a\u884c\u52d5\u3092\u5b66\u3076\u5927\u5207\u306a\u6a5f\u4f1a\u3068\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drill started when the\u00a0principal said there was an earthquake. Right away, the children went under their tables and stayed calm. When the teachers told them it was time to leave, they carefully came out, put on their\u00a0safety cushions, and walked down the stairs with their teachers. Everyone followed the rules and stayed quiet and focused. We are very proud of how well they listened and followed instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of our safety lessons, the Kinder kids also reviewed the\u00a0\u201c\u304a\u304b\u3057\u3082\u3061\u201d (Okashimochi)\u00a0rule. This is a special set of rules all children in Japan learn for\u00a0emergency situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After the drill, we sat together and read a story about safety. We talked about each part of the \u201c\u304a\u304b\u3057\u3082\u3061\u201d rule and how it helps protect everyone during emergencies. The kids shared their ideas and asked great questions, showing they are becoming\u00a0inquirers\u00a0and\u00a0thinkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
