At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, our students recently engaged in an interactive and hands-on learning experience focused on\u00a0dental health and oral hygiene. This inquiry helped children understand the importance of caring for their teeth and developing healthy habits from a young age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha\u3067\u306f\u3001\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u304c\u6b6f\u306e\u5065\u5eb7\uff08\u30c7\u30f3\u30bf\u30eb\u30d8\u30eb\u30b9\uff09\u3068\u53e3\u8154\u30b1\u30a2\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u63a2\u7a76\u7684\u306b\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u5e7c\u3044\u9803\u304b\u3089\u6b6f\u3092\u5927\u5207\u306b\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u3092\u4f53\u9a13\u3057\u306a\u304c\u3089\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started with group discussions about daily\u00a0toothbrushing routines\u00a0and mouth rinsing habits. Children confidently shared how they brush their teeth after meals and the importance of keeping their teeth clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we explored which foods promote\u00a0healthy teeth\u00a0and which can be harmful. The children identified sugary snacks as foods to eat sparingly to protect their teeth. A food-sorting game reinforced this learning by categorizing items as \u201cgood for teeth\u201d or \u201cnot good for teeth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To deepen their understanding, K2 and K3 students participated in a\u00a0toothbrushing workshop\u00a0led by dental hygiene students from Apollo Dental Hygienist College, part of the Kurihara Gakuen Group. The workshop provided practical guidance on\u00a0proper toothbrushing techniques, emphasizing the importance of brushing every part of the mouth and limiting sugar intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this inquiry and workshop, our students gained a deeper understanding of\u00a0children\u2019s dental care\u00a0and the habits necessary for maintaining\u00a0healthy teeth. These experiences help build lifelong oral hygiene practices in a fun and age-appropriate way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
