At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom walls and that families play an essential role in a child’s educational journey. In July, we proudly introduced our\u00a0\u201c<\/strong>Parents as Storytellers\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0program, a community engagement initiative designed to deepen parent involvement and provide our kindergarten students with meaningful, real-world learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u30d3\u30e8\u30f3\u30c7\u30a3\u30a2\u30a4\u30f3\u30bf\u30fc\u30ca\u30b7\u30e7\u30ca\u30eb\u30b9\u30af\u30fc\u30eb\u67cf\u306e\u8449\u3067\u306f\u3001\u5b66\u3073\u306f\u6559\u5ba4\u306e\u58c1\u3092\u8d8a\u3048\u3066\u5e83\u304c\u308a\u3001\u5bb6\u65cf\u304c\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u306e\u6559\u80b2\u306e\u65c5\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u5f79\u5272\u3092\u679c\u305f\u3059\u3068\u4fe1\u3058\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u30027\u6708\u304b\u3089\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u300c\u4fdd\u8b77\u8005\u306b\u3088\u308b\u8aad\u307f\u805e\u304b\u305b\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u3092\u958b\u59cb\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3053\u306e\u6d3b\u52d5\u306f\u3001\u4fdd\u8b77\u8005\u306e\u65b9\u3005\u306e\u95a2\u308f\u308a\u3092\u6df1\u3081\u3001\u5712\u5150\u305f\u3061\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u610f\u7fa9\u306e\u3042\u308b\u5b9f\u751f\u6d3b\u306b\u57fa\u3065\u3044\u305f\u5b66\u7fd2\u4f53\u9a13\u3092\u63d0\u4f9b\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u76ee\u7684\u3068\u3057\u305f\u3001\u5730\u57df\u3068\u306e\u3064\u306a\u304c\u308a\u3092\u5927\u5207\u306b\u3059\u308b\u53d6\u308a\u7d44\u307f\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this program, parents volunteer to visit our school and read stories to the children, offering unique storytelling styles and personal perspectives. This initiative supports\u00a0language development, listening skills, and creative thinkingwhile also promoting strong home and school connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3053\u306e\u30d7\u30ed\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0\u3067\u306f\u3001\u4fdd\u8b77\u8005\u306e\u65b9\u3005\u304c\u30dc\u30e9\u30f3\u30c6\u30a3\u30a2\u3068\u3057\u3066\u6765\u5712\u3057\u3001\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u306b\u8aad\u307f\u805e\u304b\u305b\u3092\u884c\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3055\u307e\u3056\u307e\u306a\u8a9e\u308a\u65b9\u3084\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u306a\u8996\u70b9\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u305f\u3061\u306f\u65b0\u305f\u306a\u767a\u898b\u3092\u3057\u306a\u304c\u3089\u7269\u8a9e\u3092\u697d\u3057\u3093\u3067\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3053\u306e\u6d3b\u52d5\u306f\u3001\u8a00\u8a9e\u767a\u9054\u3001\u50be\u8074\u30b9\u30ad\u30eb\u3001\u5275\u9020\u7684\u601d\u8003\u306e\u4fc3\u9032\u306b\u52a0\u3048\u3001\u5bb6\u5ead\u3068\u5b66\u6821\u306e\u5f37\u3044\u3064\u306a\u304c\u308a\u3092\u80b2\u3080\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3082\u3064\u306a\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most exciting aspects of the program is its emphasis on\u00a0multilingual storytelling. So far, students have enjoyed stories read in\u00a0French\u00a0and\u00a0Korean, giving them an early introduction to different languages and cultures. These experiences are an important step toward nurturing\u00a0global mindedness, a key component of our inquiry-based curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these storytelling sessions, children are not only developing their love for reading but also expanding their awareness of the diverse world around them. They ask questions, repeat unfamiliar words, and engage in discussions about what they heard, all while developing open-mindedness and communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
