For the month of August, Beyondia’s Kinder class will be learning all about the theme of Art, as part of the IB theme of “How We Express Ourselves”. Today’s lesson was about mixing colours together. To do this, the Kinder class did a really fun activity where they were asked to mix colours together with their hands and stamp them onto a giant piece of paper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were shown lots of different colours and asked to pick two. One hand was painted the first colour and the other hand was painted the second colour. Once they had stamped both hands onto the paper they then had to rub their hands together to make a new colour and stamp it next to the other two to show the result. It was a lot of fun for them and they learned a lot. They were excited to see what results their choice of colour would make. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the project was done, we had a poster full of new and interesting colours to hang on the wall. The Kinders learned what two colours mix together to make a new one and that some really pretty colours are made by combining two colours they would never have thought to combine. Everyone had a lot of fun expressing themselves and learning about how to make art by themselves<\/p>\n\n\n\n
