Today, we held a Strawberry Picking Event in collaboration with Loco Door in Kashiwanoha. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, creativity, and enjoyable experiences for both children and parents.

柏の葉でいちご狩りやシャインマスカット狩りなど様々な体験活動を提供されている、Loco Door様とのコラボレーションにより、いちご狩りイベントを開催しました。子どもたちと保護者の皆様にとって、学びと創造、そして楽しい体験が詰まった素晴らしい一日となりました。

A Fun Start with Story Time and Creative Craft Time/ ストーリータイムとクラフト活動

We began the event with an English story time session, reading the classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar. This introduced the theme of food and growth in a fun and engaging way.

Following the story, the children participated in a hands-on craft activity, creating a 3D strawberry model. Through this activity, they learned about the three stages of strawberry growth: green (unripe), white (mid-stage), and red (fully ripe).

まずは英語のストーリータイムからスタートし、『はらぺこあおむし（The Very Hungry Caterpillar）』を読みました。食べ物や成長をテーマに、楽しく学べる時間となりました。

その後、子どもたちは3Dいちごを作るクラフト活動に取り組みました。この活動を通して、いちごの成長の3つの段階について学びました。緑（未熟）、白（成長途中）、そして赤（完熟）です。

Learning About Strawberry Farm/ いちご農園について学ぶ

Before heading to the farm, we had a short learning session about how strawberries are grown and the rules to follow inside a greenhouse. The children learned that there are around 10 varieties of strawberries and that new varieties are still being developed. They listened carefully and showed great curiosity.

農園へ向かう前に、いちごの育て方やハウス内でのルールについて学びました。いちごには約10種類の品種があり、新しい品種も開発されていることを知り、子どもたちは興味深く話を聞いていました。

Strawberry Picking Experience/いちご狩り体験

Finally, we visited the greenhouse for the strawberry picking experience. The children explored the farm, searched for ripe strawberries, and carefully picked and tasted them. They enjoyed moving around freely while interacting with nature and discovering the strawberries.

最後に、ハウスへ移動していちご狩りを体験しました。子どもたちは農園の中を自由に歩きながら、赤く熟したいちごを探し、自分で収穫して味わいました。自然と触れ合いながら楽しむ姿がとても印象的でした。
