An Exciting Field Trip to Kandu | ワクワクいっぱい!
Our K2 and K3 classes went on an exciting field trip to Kandu as the culmination of their Unit of Inquiry, “Who We Are.”
Throughout this unit, the children explored ideas connected to who we are and the world around us. The field trip provided a wonderful opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom through real-life experiences.
With so many different jobs to discover, the children were full of curiosity and excitement, ready to explore something new!
Discovering the World of Work | 初めてのお仕事にも積極的にチャレンジ
“What kind of job is this?”
“How do I use these tools?”
“I want to try that one too!”
The children eagerly explored a variety of professions, including jobs they had never heard of before.
By stepping into different roles and using tools associated with each profession, they discovered what people do in their jobs and how their work is carried out.
Every experience brought a new discovery, encouraging the children to become even more curious about the world around them.

Connecting Inquiry to the Real World | 教室での探究が実社会とつながる
One of the important aspects of IB inquiry-based learning is helping children make meaningful connections between what they learn and the world around them.
During our “Who We Are” unit, the children had opportunities to think about themselves and their connections with others.
At Kandu, they explored different roles in society through hands-on experiences, turning their curiosity into opportunities for discovery.
Rather than simply learning about jobs through pictures or explanations, the children experienced them firsthand.
These experiences encourage children to ask questions, think independently, and develop a deeper understanding of the world.

Growing Through New Challenges |
Trying something unfamiliar takes curiosity and courage.
Throughout the field trip, the children showed their willingness to explore new experiences and take on different challenges.
These moments reflect the IB Learner Profile attribute of being a Risk-taker: approaching unfamiliar situations with confidence and an open mind.
At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, we value each child’s natural curiosity and desire to try something new.
We believe that meaningful learning grows through opportunities to explore, think, experience, and discover.
This field trip was a memorable way to conclude our “Who We Are” unit, filled with exciting experiences and opportunities for growth.
Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha
