キンダーオープンスクール

Recently, we invited the parents of our Kinder class to come and see what a typical week for their children in like in school. The classes were very eager to show off to their parents.

先日、キンダークラスの保護者の皆さまをお招きし、お子さまたちが普段学校でどのように過ごしているのかをご覧いただきました。子どもたちは、お父さんやお母さんに自分たちの活動を見てもらえることをとても楽しみにしており、張り切って取り組んでいました。

Monday – Japanese Lesson

月曜日：日本語レッスン

The week began with some Japanese lessons. The K2 and K3 classes did a lesson about the rainy season. Through a mixture of listening games, storytime, colouring stations, and more, the kids learned about the changing season and had fun while doing so. The K1 class’s theme was ‘Who We Are’. They had a blast while drawing a self-portrait using a mirror, crayons, and some clingfilm. They even showed off some baby pictures to see how much they’ve changed

週の始まりは、日本語の授業からスタートしました。K2・K3クラスでは、「梅雨」をテーマにした活動を行いました。聞いて楽しむゲームや絵本の読み聞かせ、ぬり絵コーナーなど、さまざまな活動を通して、子どもたちは季節の移り変わりについて学びながら、楽しく過ごしました。

K1クラスのテーマは「Who We Are（わたしたちはだれなのか）」でした。鏡やクレヨン、ラップを使って自画像を描く活動に取り組み、子どもたちは大いに楽しんでいました。さらに、自分たちの赤ちゃんの頃の写真を見せ合い、どれだけ成長したのかを楽しみながら振り返りました。

Tuesday – PE

火曜日：体育

The second day was PE day. All three Kinder classes showed off the routines they had been practicing for weeks to get everything just right. They danced, swung on the horizontal bar, ran through obstacle courses, and so much more.

2日目は体育の日でした。K1・K2・K3の各クラスは、これまで何週間も練習を重ねてきた活動を披露しました。子どもたちはダンスをしたり、鉄棒に挑戦したり、障害物コースを走り抜けたりと、さまざまな運動に元気いっぱい取り組みました。これまでの練習の成果を発揮しながら、楽しそうに活動する姿を見せてくれました。

Wednesday – K3 English

水曜日：K3英語レッスン

Wednesday was the day for K3 to show off their English skills. It started with a little presentation about the rules they had at home. They filled in a little worksheet with their parents at home and brought it to show off to their friends. We then had a game where they built a tower but each round, a new rule was added to see if the new rule made it easier or harder. We ended by playing a listening game with vocabulary from the phonics they had been learning.

水曜日は、K3クラスが英語力を披露する日でした。まずは、家庭でのルールについての発表から始まりました。子どもたちは、おうちで保護者の方と一緒にワークシートを完成させ、それを持ってきてお友だちの前で発表しました。

その後は、タワー作りゲームに挑戦しました。ラウンドごとに新しいルールが追加され、そのルールによってゲームがやりやすくなるのか、それとも難しくなるのかをみんなで楽しみながら体験しました。

最後は、これまで学んできたフォニックスの語彙を使ったリスニングゲームを行い、楽しく活動を締めくくりました。保護者の皆さまにも1ラウンド参加していただき、子どもたちと一緒に楽しい時間を過ごしました。

Thursday – Chiiku

木曜日：知育

Thursday, as usual, was Chiiku day. Each class used the skills they had been developing through their weekly Chiiku lesson to show their parents how far they had come in such a short time. Using shapes to make crafts, learning to mix colours together, making their way through mazes, and matching objects to shadows are just a few ways the Chiiku teachers help the students learn and grow.

木曜日は、いつものように知育の日でした。各クラスでは、毎週の知育レッスンを通して身につけてきた力を発揮し、短期間での成長した姿を保護者の皆さまに披露しました。

形を組み合わせて作品を作ったり、色を混ぜて新しい色を発見したり、迷路に挑戦したり、物と影をマッチさせたりと、さまざまな活動を通して、子どもたちは楽しみながら考える力や観察力を育んでいます。これらは、知育の先生たちが子どもたちの学びと成長を支えるために行っている活動のほんの一例です。

Friday – K1 and K2 English

金曜日：K1・K2英語レッスン

Finally, we ended the Open School week with the English lessons for K1 and K2. K1 went to the Piano room to learn about the rainy season and all the different things that come around in summer. They were shown the silhouettes of different things like to the season and asked to guess them to get their brains running before getting out the umbrella and playing in the rain. K2 spoke about some of the rules they had at home and why they had them. They also had a lot of different stations for the phonics. Writing practice, vocab colouring, listening games, and more as a way for the kids to learn while enjoying themselves.

最後は、K1・K2クラスの英語レッスンでオープンスクール週間を締めくくりました。

K1クラスはピアノルームで、梅雨や夏に見られるさまざまなものについて学びました。まずは、季節に関連するもののシルエットを見て何かを当てるクイズに挑戦し、楽しく頭を働かせました。その後は傘を持って、雨をテーマにした遊びを楽しみながら学びを深めました。K2クラスでは、家庭でのルールや、そのルールがなぜ必要なのかについて発表を行いました。また、フォニックスに関連したさまざまなステーション活動にも取り組みました。文字を書く練習や語彙のぬり絵、リスニングゲームなど、多彩な活動を通して、子どもたちは楽しみながら英語を学ぶことができました。

Everyone worked really hard to make sure the week went off perfectly and it was a complete success. We did a lot and learned a lot of things to do for next year’s Open School.

オープンスクール週間が無事に成功するよう、子どもたちをはじめ、職員一同が一生懸命取り組みました。その結果、とても充実した素晴らしい一週間となりました。

今年のオープンスクールを通して、多くの経験を積み、来年度のオープンスクールに向けた新たな学びや改善点を見つけることができました。今後もより良い行事となるよう努めてまいります。
