Today, we would like to introduce two of our favorite parks in Kashiwanoha where children can enjoy nature through play, exploration, and discovery.

At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, we love taking our learning outdoors. Whether it is watching ducks by the water, chasing butterflies, observing insects, or simply noticing how the seasons change, every visit becomes a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with the world around them.

今日は、子どもたちが遊びや探究活動を通して自然に親しむことができる、柏の葉のおすすめ公園を2か所ご紹介したいと思います。

Beyondia International School Kashiwanohaでは、日々の学びを園の外へ広げることを大切にしています。水辺でアヒルを観察したり、ちょうちょを追いかけたり、小さな虫たちを見つけたり、季節の移り変わりを感じたりと、お散歩のたびに子どもたちは周りの世界とのつながりを深めています。

今回は、そんな子どもたちのお気に入りの場所である「アクアテラス」と「こんぶくろ池公園」をご紹介します。柏の葉でネイチャープレイや戸外活動を楽しめる魅力的なスポットです。

A Favorite Walk to Aqua Terrace/ お気に入りのお散歩コース、アクアテラス

Aqua Terrace is one of our favorite places to visit. The children are always excited when we announce that we are going for a walk there.

As we stroll along the pathways, little fingers quickly point toward the water.

“Look! A duck!”

“There’s another one!”

The children enjoy watching ducks swimming peacefully across the pond and observing cranes standing quietly nearby. Sometimes we spot tiny aquatic creatures moving through the water, and the children eagerly gather around to take a closer look.

These moments often lead to wonderful conversations and questions. Nature has a way of inspiring curiosity, and the children never stop surprising us with the things they notice.

アクアテラスは、子どもたちが大好きな場所のひとつです。お散歩に行くことを伝えると、みんなワクワクした表情になります。

歩道を歩いていると、小さな指がすぐに水辺を指差します。

「アヒルがいる！」

「あっ、もう一羽いた！」

池を気持ちよさそうに泳ぐアヒルや、水辺で静かに過ごす鳥たちを観察するのは子どもたちのお気に入りです。また、水の中をよく見ると小さな水生生物を発見することもあり、子どもたちは興味津々で覗き込みます。

こうした瞬間は、子どもたちの「なんでだろう？」「これは何かな？」という自然な疑問や会話につながります。自然には子どもたちの好奇心を引き出す不思議な力があります。

Discovering the Magic of Konbukuro Ike Park/ こんぶくろ池公園の魅力を発見

Another special place we love to explore is Konbukuro Ike Park. Each season brings something different, making every visit feel new and exciting.

In autumn, the park becomes a colorful wonderland. The children delight in walking through piles of fallen leaves, listening to the crunchy sounds beneath their feet. Some love throwing leaves into the air, while others carefully collect leaves in their favorite colors and shapes. Konbukuro Ike Park is also home to many acorn and pine cone trees, and the children enjoy searching for acorns and pine cones hidden beneath the fallen leaves.

The simple joy on their faces reminds us how much wonder can be found in nature.

こんぶくろ池公園も、子どもたちが大好きな場所のひとつです。季節ごとに違った景色が楽しめるため、行くたびに新しい発見があります。

秋になると、公園は色とりどりの落ち葉でいっぱいになります。子どもたちは落ち葉の上を歩いて、カサカサという音を楽しんだり、葉っぱを空に投げたりして遊びます。また、自分の好きな色や形の葉っぱを見つけて集めることも大好きです。

こんぶくろ池公園には、どんぐりや松ぼっくりがたくさんあります。子どもたちは落ち葉の下に隠れているどんぐりや松ぼっくりを探すのを楽しんでいます。

そんな子どもたちの嬉しそうな笑顔を見るたびに、自然の中にはたくさんの発見や楽しさがあることを感じます。

Wildflowers, Berries, and Open Spaces/ 野の花や木の実との出会い

During the warmer months, the open grassy areas become our natural playground.

The children enjoy running, rolling, and exploring the wide-open space. Wildflowers bloom throughout the park, and the children love gathering fallen flowers to create beautiful flower crowns.

Sometimes we discover berry trees along our walks. The children are always fascinated by the different shapes and colors they find, and these discoveries spark many conversations about plants and nature.

Every outing offers something new to explore.

暖かい季節になると、公園の広場は子どもたちのお気に入りの遊び場になります。

広々とした芝生の上を走ったり、転がったりしながら思いきり体を動かします。また、公園にはたくさんの野の花が咲き、子どもたちは花を集めて花冠づくりを楽しんでいます。

お散歩の途中では木の実を見つけることもあります。さまざまな形や色をした実に興味を持ち、「これは何の実かな？」と話し合う姿も見られます。

外へ出るたびに、新しい発見が待っています。

Learning Through Nature Every Day/ 自然の中で学ぶ毎日

Nature play is about so much more than outdoor fun. It encourages curiosity, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and a sense of responsibility for the world around us.

Most importantly, it gives children the freedom to explore, wonder, and learn at their own pace.

We are grateful to have wonderful places like Aqua Terrace and Konbukuro Ike Park right here in Kashiwanoha. Every visit creates new memories, new discoveries, and new opportunities for children to develop a lifelong love of nature.
